Shelton City Park

Canal Street, Shelton, Fairfield County, Connecticut

Directions:

Merritt Parkway north to exit 53; turn left onto Route 110 and drive about 5.8 miles into Shelton and turn right onto Cornell Street; turn left to park in the free municipal parking lot.  (The Shelton Farm and Public Market is here also.)  Walk toward the Housatonic River where the park is. 

10/03/2005.  I do not know the real name of the park so I just called it Shelton City Park for the moment.  The park extends linearly along the Housatonic River from above Cornell Street down to Wharf Street.  It is primarily lawn with a few scattered trees.  There are some monuments here also.
