North Spectacle Pond

Kent, Litchfield County, Connecticut

Directions:

Route 7 north to Kent; turn right onto Route 341 (Segar Mountain Road); on the left side of the road, somewhere between Kenmont Road and Kenico Road is a piece of land that abuts both Route 341 and North Spectacle Lake. 

The Connecticut Guide, 1935 states; "East of the village, Rt. 341 to Warren gives a delightful drive over the hills. After passing a good lookout hill about 1 mile to the south, we reach in 3/4 miles the two Spectacle Ponds. Above North Spectacle Pond is a representative spruce-tamarack bog."
