Lake Wangum
Wangum Road, North Canaan, Connecticut

Directions:

From the center of Norfolk, town of Norfolk, drive south on Route 272.  Turn right onto Mountain Road; passing into the town of North Canaan, the name of the road turns to Wangum Road.  There is no trespassing at Lake Wangum, so we had to park our car alongside the road and walk along the lake's southern edge and back.

6/18/2006.  The family was on vacation out of Travel Lodge in Great Barrington, MA.  Since we could not get to Lake Wangum from the Beckley Furnace area, we decided to approach it via the car. We parked along the road and walked west along the road and back to the car.  It makes for a nice, if short, walk.  The lake is very close to the road here.  Dr. Patrick L. Cooney.
