Iron Ore Hill Nature Sanctuary

Directions:
Route 133 north in Brookfield; pass over the bridge over the Housatonic with a boat launch area on the north side of the river and on the right in Bridgewater; in this area turn left onto Northrop Street; make a left turn onto Iron Ore Hill Road; drive 0.3 of a mile where you will see the sign for the nature sanctuary on the left. Park. The Sanctuary starts on the left, while a parcel of the Sunny Valley Preserve starts on the right side of the street.
The Nature Sanctuary owns the land on which there is a farm and then the woods area all the way down to the dead-end turn-around circle at the end of the road by house #31. They also own land on the right side of the road from the nature sanctuary sign down to Iron Ore Hill Road north.
