Housatonic Range Trail
New Milford, Litchfield County, Connecticut


Directions:

Route 7 north to northern New Milford. Pass by the junction with Route 37; pass by the two ends of semi-circular Squash Hollow Road. Turn left onto Cedar Hill Road; drive 0.5 of a mile and at the stop sign turn left onto Gaylord Road; drive about 0.3 of a mile and park on the right side of the road by the northern end of Gaylordsville Cemetery. Walk about 50 yards or so down the road and turn left at the sign for the Housatonic Range Trail.


Trails:

The Housatonic Range Trail heads southeast to cross Morrissey Brook   It then heads north to make a horse-shoe back south and then east over to Emmanuel Williamson Park with Strait's Rock.

The trail then heads largely southeast to Boardman Mountain.  The trail heads over to Squash Hollow Road.  The trail then heads down to near Route 37 nears its intersection with Route 7.

The Trail picks up again on the south side of Route 37 to head up to near Pine Knob (710 feet elevation), over to Kelly Slide, down to the Overlook Vista, finally reaching its end overlooking Milford Bay and the Lynn Deming Park.
