Gavel Family Farm Preserve

Upper County Road, Roxbury, Litchfield County, Connecticut

Directions:

Saw Mill River Parkway north to its end (at mile marker 29); get onto US 684 heading north; drive about 11 miles to get off at exit 9E (at mileage maker 28) for US 84 east; drive about 10 miles to get off at exit 7 for Route 7 north; get off at the first exit for Federal Road north; at the light turn left and at the next light turn right onto Federal Road north; drive past Burger King and McDonalds and turn right onto Route 133 north; drive 3.5 miles going through Brookfield and heading over the Housatonic River into Bridgewater; continuing driving north to the junction with Route 67 east; turn right and drive 6.0 miles (going into Roxbury and later heading directly onto Route 317) to a left turn onto Upper County Road (only 1.0 mile from the junction of Routes 67 and 317); drive 0.1 of a mile and turn left into a parking area by a sign for the preserve.
