Gallows Hill Natural Area
Redding, Fairfield County, CT
73 acres

Directions:

Gallows Hill Road CL&P transmission line.  The easiest way to get there: Lonetown to Gallows Hill Road, the CL&P transmission lines are approximately 1.5 miles from Lonetown Road, parking in not possible so the best bet is to park on the road about 75 yards from the trail head.

From Route 53 enter Gallows Hill Road, the CL&P transmission lines are approximately .5 miles from Route 53, parking in not possible so the best bet is to park on -- Road about 75 yards before the trail head.

Or:

From Route 7 heading north turn right onto Route 107.  Drive 2.6 miles to Route 53 at a stop sign.  Keeping heading straight.  Drive another 2.6 miles and turn right onto Gallows Hill Road.  There is a hiking trail on the left at 0.2 of a mile (Gallows Hill Natural Area) and a hiking trail area at 0.3 of a mile (Reeve Biggers and Dan Beard Trails).  There is literally no place to park so you may have to drive up a nearby side road and park up there and then walk down.  Good luck.

Trails:

There are 2.2 miles of trail.
