Route 7 North, left on to Candlewood Lake Road North. Park will be on the right.


History:

1940  --  by vote of a Special Town Meting the Town Park was named "Lynn Deming Park".


Hours:

Opens on Saturday, May 23, and closes on Labor Day, September 7. The Park opens one half hour after sunrise and closes one half hour after sunset (except for access to the boat launch, boat slips, and moorings). Vehicle and boat launch stickers will be sold daily from 8:00am to 8:00pm at a cost of $30.00 per vehicle and $50.00 for a boat pass. Gate attendants will be on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Lifeguards will be on duty for supervised swimming daily. Through June 21, lifeguards will be on duty on weekends from 10:00am to 7:00pm and on weekdays from 12:00 noon to 5:00pm. After June 21, lifeguard hours will be daily from 10:00am to 7:00pm.

There is no alcohol allowed in the Park. Smoking is not permitted on the beach. A complete copy of the Park Rules are available at the Park entrance or at the Parks and Recreation Office.


Facilities:

Boat Slips & Moorings

All boat slips & moorings must be removed from Lynn Deming Town Park by Tuesday, October 13th. All carpeting or bumpers on slips must be removed by the boat owner. Each mooring owner must mark their name on the mooring equipment in highly visible paint or it will be considered an abandoned mooring and will be removed in the spring.
