Cedar Bridge
Hemlock Road, Bridgewater, Litchfield County, Connecticut

Directions:

US 84 west; get off at exit 7 for Federal Road;  turn left; drive a short distance and turn right at the light for Federal Road; take Federal Road north to a right turn onto Route 133; drive 3.5 miles on Route 133 to the bridge over the Housatonic River; drive 0.2 miles more and just after crossing the bridge turn left onto Northrop Road (across from the Lake Lillinonah Boat Launch parking area); drive about 4.0 mile (keep driving straight when Northrop Road becomes Christian Street); keep going to a left turn onto Hemlock Road; drive about 1.3 miles to an opening in the woods on the left a short distance from a wooden swing gate (private property) to see The Nature Sanctuary signs and trail markers. 

Since there is no parking just here, keep following the around the curves and park at the Anthony and Vanda Ficalora Nature Preserve parking area. Walk back to the wooden swing gate and the opening in the woods.

Trails:

The blue-blazed trail heads north up to Town Park at the intersection of Tappan Road and S. Lillinonah Lake Road.
