Bennett Memorial Park is adjacent to Meckauer Park.
Directions
From I-84E - Take exit 8 off I-84 and stay in the middle lane of the exit ramp.
After angling left through the light at the end of the ramp, go about 100 yards
and turn right onto Payne Rd at traffic light (just past a Chase Bank on your
right). Go straight for about 1.5 miles (the road bends, but do not make any
turns). You will pass the entrance to Meckauer Park. Continue about 0.1 miles
and take a right into Bennett Park.
From I-84W - Take exit 8 off I-84, merge into traffic and shift over to the far
left lane. After about 100 yards you will bear sharply left around the circle
(crossing over the interstate) and continue in the opposite direction you were
going. Go about 100 yards more and turn right onto Payne Rd at traffic light
(just past a Chase Bank on your right). Go straight for about 1.5 miles (the
road bends, but do not make any turns). You will pass the entrance to Meckauer
Park. Continue about 0.1 miles and take a right into Bennett Park.
From Route 58N - Go straight through traffic light at intersection of 58 and 302
(@ Milwaukee Ave). Make a right into Bethel Educational Park. Follow to the
bottom of the hill. Make a right at the light and an immediate left onto Walnut
Hill Rd. Go through (bearing left) stop sign at approx. 0.25 miles. After about
200 yards, take the left fork. Bennett Park is 0.25 miles ahead on the left.

Restrooms, Handicap Accessibility, Picnic Area, playground
offers an enclosed pavilion with kitchen facilities and restrooms, a bocce court, horseshoes and a pond for fishing. It can be reserved by town residents and groups on a first-come, first-served basis by calling the first selectman's office.
