The trail passes alongside Battle Swamp Brook for two-thirds of its length, then continues through some light forest and brush, and over a stone wall to come out on Battle Swamp Road. From Judd's Bridge Road to Battle Swamp Road is approximately .68 miles. There is no parking on Battle Swamp Road, but there is pedestrian access. Walking along Battle Swamp Road from Wakelee Road, the preserve entrance is on the left, marked by a Roxbury Land Trust sign.
