 This engraving of a pelvis bone with the likeness of a horse, dating from the end of the Ice Age, suggests "ritual re-use" of the artifact. The 27 darts and spears drawn piercing the animal seem to indicate a separate instance of use (Marshack 1993, p. 15). |
