VIDEO - "Year of the Blitz"
A CMP Documentary by Keith Webb
YEAR OF THE BLITZ is a professionally filmed and produced documentary covering the spectacular gathering, in March 2002 at Corowa, Australia, of the greatest number of privately-own Canadian-manufactured CMP trucks to-date. Known as the 'Blitz' in Australia, CMPs formed the backbone of the Australian army's World War II transportation requirements (in addition to service with all other Commonwealth nations), and many still exist today, in a multitude of configurations, after a lifetime of civilian service.
For the Corowa show, a concerted effort was made to bring together as many Blitz's as possible, with the only criteria being that the entries had to be running. Coming from all over Australia, the final count was 34, and professional filmmaker Keith Webb, himself one of the participants with his 15cwt Ford, documents this gathering in a 48-minute video rich in detail.

The result is a unique piece of film capturing this remarkable event in the greater context of the durability and significance of a historic military vehicle remarkable in its own right. Available in standard NTSC VHS format for North America and PAL VHS format for the rest of the world, this is a "must-have" for CMP enthusiasts everywhere!

WW2 Pattern Red Ensign
Reproduction WW2 Pattern Canadian Red Ensign
This is a reproduction 1922 Pattern Red Ensign, the unofficial flag of Canada (the 'official' flag being the Union Jack) until 1957, when it was superseded by a modified ensign, which was itself replaced by the current Canadian flag in 1965. This flag is a 3' X 5' reproduction printed on polyester, with the original female harp and green maple leaves, and is the pattern our forefathers fought for and under throughout World War II. This flag is a perfect adornment for your WW2 vehicle, reenactment group or display! We flew one at Beltring this past summer, and it attracted all sorts of very positive attention from young and old alike! You may fly this flag with pride...
