"Joseph Jacob House, c. 1810; first floor alterations c 1900 ff.,
three and one-half stories, stucco with wood trim
Colonial/Federal styles. --- Contributing."

"From the rear, these old houses on the southwest look like a
picturesque scene in an ancient foreign town. From the front,
however, all is bustle and commerce. Half a dozen small shops
occupy the premises from 5918 to 5922 Germantown Avenue, which
were originally built by A. Keyser before the Revolutionary
War."
