The majority of Kennedy's collection consists of pictures of places. Most of these places are in Philadelphia, but some are of other locations within the United States, and some are even of locations outside of the United States.

Although many of the places depicted within the Kennedy Collection contain specified addresses, a group of his pieces depict pictures without noting the addresses.
