The David Johnston Kennedy Collection consists of more
than 1000 watercolors, drawings, and other pieces, and is housed at the
Historical Society of Pennsylvania. It is perhaps one of the largest collections
of images of Philadelphia. This collection was created between the years
1838 and 1898 the year of Kennedy's death. Most of the collection depict
images of locations within the Philadelphia area. The purpose of this
website is to provide access to these collections by placing the pieces
from the collection into browsable categories.
