AUXILIARY ALTERNATOR CONTROL PANEL

This locomotive is equipped with an auxiliary alternator and related control equipment to supply power to the passenger cars of the train for heat, lights, and air conditioning. The Auxiliary Control Panel (Fig. 3) on the back wall of the operator's cab provides control for this power supply. Mounted on this panel are switches, circuit breakers, push buttons and meters used in the operation of this equipment (see Fig. 3).
