'Unsere Krieger'

an Austro-Hungarian Multi-Language Newsmagazine

'Unsere Krieger' (Our Fighting Men) was a multi-language Austro-Hungarian illustrated war-news weekly. It contained a multitude of photographs, often printed in large-sized layout. Captions were in several languages, German, Hungarian, Czech, Polish, French, English and several others, presumably Slovak, Slovenian and Roumanian. Text articles were hardy present, given the numerous necessary translations needed to keep an even hand among the various Austro-Hungarian ethnicities hardly surprising. Most of the photographs had to do with the situation on the Eastern and Italian fronts. Once again hardly surprising given that the main Austrian war-effort was made on these fronts.
