'Deutsche Kriegszeitung'

a Weekly Supplement with War News

several cover pages

'Deutsche Kriegszeitung' (German War Newspaper) was a weekly publication as an illustrated supplement to the 'Berliner Lokal-Anzeiger' a Berlin daily. As the name indicates, it contained war-news along with an amount of photographs. The magazine was large-sized, and was somewhat reminescent of a regular newspaper, though of better printing quality. Aside from the practice of printing portraits of military figures on the front page and the lesser use of photographic material, this magazine is similar in scope, size and appearance to the French daily magazine 'Excelsior'
