'Das Buch fur Alle' (Literature for All) was a German litterary magazine, featuring fiction stories, general cultural news and items along with a bit of obligatory war news. Self-described as a family magazine, 'das Buch fur Alle' was as far as the war was concerned, very sedate in its coverage, thinking nothing at all for instance of featuring a Matania illustration as a finely printed two-page spread, complete with almost unaltered captions such as originally appeared in the British press. A case of art transcending national borders and conflicts.
