'Fantasio'
A Light-Hearted French Humor Magazine
'Fantasio' is one of the many typical light-hearted French humor magazines that were published in Paris (such as 'Le Sourire', or 'La Vie Parisienne' among others). Many were considered to be somewhat 'racy' and unsuitable for people of polite society, but generally speaking it was primarily to such a public that 'Fantasio' and similar magazines were sold. Like all French publications during the war, 'Fantasio' set its best patriotic foot forward and devoted a substanial amount of pages to portraying soldiers and what they liked to do best : namely chasing the mademoiselles.
