WCAU-TV Covers Mummers Parade in Color
The Philadelphia CBS outlet, on Monday, January 2 (1956) aired over three hours of the 
Mummer's Parade.  First time that the parade was telecast in color.
Two color mobile trucks were leased from RCA.  Each mobile unit had two TK-41 color 
camera chains and two TM 10B 15-inch color monitors as well as three TM-6C master monitors.
One mobile unit was located at the City Hall reviewing stand.  The second at the start of
the parade route, at Porter Street in South Philadelphia.  Both were linked to WCAU 
master control using telephone company lines.
