The RCA TK30 camera is located on the marquee of the Hotel Astor.
"Although the streets appear dark in the photo, the Image Orthicon picked up the crowds."

The Hotel Astor was located on the west side of 7th Avenue, (1515 Broadway) 
between 44th and 45th.  The building was demolished in 1967.
