I was there for four years from 1967 to 1970. I also have very few good memories and a lot of bad ones. I remember having to say three prayers because I was so bad and being beaten with a ping pong paddle.

I remember cleaning those black and white stairs, then having the nuns check my dusting with a white glove. I remember dusting the 10 foot high, or maybe higher, book shelves in the playroom. We had to be quiet in the playroom so Sister Margaret could watch the Yankees. To this day, I hate that baseball team

We showered once a week, on the other days we had to wash up in a sink. I remember taking care of a girl, younger then myself, dressing her and making her bed. Also, at times, I was baby-sitting about ten toddlers, working in the nursery, feeding the babies, waxing and buffing the floors with the big buffer.

We either ate the food they gave us or we didn't eat at all. I was quite thin back then because I wouldn't eat the mush. I remember crying and talking a lot to God. I would like to talk with any one that would like to contact me. (Send email to the webmaster for forwarding to Michele.)
