Preserving The Battle of Camden Site

The Battle of Camden, one of the largest and most influential battles of the American Revolution, was fought on August 16, 1780. After 221 years, the battlefield is mostly unprotected from development and no on-site interpretation. The graves of approximately 1,000 Patriot and British soldiers buried on the battlefield make the site even more special. Over 20 local, state, and federal agencies and businesses are cooperating to preserve and interpret this precious and irreplaceable National Historic Landmark. Your contribution to the project will be greatly appreciated.

The Palmetto Conservation Foundation is the financial agent for the campaign to raise the funds necessary to make the battlefield a permanent reality for the future.
