Carroll was one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. He was a member of the Maryland Senate from 1777-1880 and served as its President in 1782-83. Carroll was the only Roman Catholic signer and the last surviving signer of the Declaration of Independence. Further this link has very little to offer, because this part has not been written yet. If you think that is a pity an you know quite a lot about this subject, you could volunteer to write this part.
You could look for information in the Maryland State Archives.
If you do know where to find e-texts about this subject on other sites, please let us know
This project is only as good as the contributions to it.
