This Clarksville, Tennessee firm is known to
have done finishing work on some guns cast by the T.
M. Brennan foundry. Besides this work, Whitfield, Bradley &
Company cast at least four guns of its own. These two iron 6-pounders
and two bronze 9-pounders served with Tilghman at Hopkinsville, KY, and
later at Fort Donelson. These guns were described as pretty fair
by Tilghman and as of very little account by another officer.
