The K-Big Komeback!

Like the myth of the Phoenix, WWKB Radio has risen from the ashes of business/talk radio to offer Buffalo, Western New York, Canada and the entire eastern seaboard  rock 'n roll radio as we remembered it! Dan Neaverth, Tom Donahue, Sandy Beach, Hank Nevins, Jack Armstrong and Joey Reynolds have returned to KB and it's fans! Although try as they may, WWKB can never fully re-create the great moments of WKBW Radio but this renewal helps us to remember that great radio station, it's DJs and of course all the personal memories associated with the music of that time.

In 1988 WKBW Radio was sold and for a period of about 15 years floundered in business talk radio, satellite programming and just about anything else that would not produce ratings. There were times when some would come to say "Pull the plug and save the electricity!" It was a terrible time for the station that used to be looked upon as a major radio event on the east coast. But on Monday, January 27, 2003 Danny Neaverth and his producer Tom Donahue return to KB 1520 for their first show! Danny & Tom were the talk of the town and all over the TV news stations as you'll see in the following photos.

In keeping the "KB" idea alive, WWKB  uses many of the original WKBW  jingles, promos and even commercials! Thank you WKBW for years and years of great rock 'n roll radio and thank you WWKB in continuing this idea, this spark in Buffalo radio!
