The PPSh was designed by Georgiy Shaposhnikov in 1940 and was accepted to service by Red Army the same year. Originally PPSh had drum magazine featured 71 round. In February 1942 new 35 round stick magazine entered into service. Over 5 millions PPSh-41 were produced during Great Patriotic War.
