The Maxim Medium Machine Gun Model 1910 was in service with the Russian army from 1910 and Soviet Army until the end of the Second World War. The machine gun's mechanism works due to the motion of the barrel closing the bore by the dead point of the lever system. A fabric belt is used to feed ammo. A jacket filled with water is fitted to the machine gun for cooling during firing. The jacket's cover has a steam valve. In 1930 the machine gun was modernized. The modernized machine gun receiveä the designation of "7.62 Maxim medium machine gun model 1910/30".
