Richard,

I am seeking information on the USS Edmonds DE-406. We had a family member on board during WWII in 1945. My mother recently passed away and while going through boxes in the house we found letters my uncle Porter W. McElhiney had written.

We are putting together a family history and seek information as to what specific battles the Edmonds participated in. We know my uncle received 7 battle stars as we found his Navy uniform in a closet.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Rick Langford
