Builder: New York Shipbuilding Corp., Camden, NJ Laid Down: May 18, 1959 Launched: December 10, 1960 Commissioned: August 11, 1962 Decommissioned: December 17, 1990 Fate: At present time, Barney is mothballed at pier 3 at the Naval Inactive Maintenance Facility in Philadelphia,PA.
