USS English DD-696 Photographs

I noticed you recently asked for "then" and "now" photos of USS English (DD-696).
Below, the first is of me (as a boot Ensign) with the USS English (DD 696) honor guard in Rhodes, Greece 1957. The second is me, 42 years later, on the same spot during a recent visit to the Huei Yang DDG 906 (sold to The Republic of China (ROC) Navy in August of 1970.)

Both photos were taken on the mid-ships Quarterdeck starboard side. Note: the Huei Yang now has an overhang over the original outboard passageway. The last is a nice profile shot. (Click any image to view a large copy of each).

The photo is of the English DD696 and is dated on the back 1959. I appreciate all your efforts for the informative websites and extend my thanks.

My father served during WW11 on the USS Washington BB56 and I have some photos that he had saved that I will send to their website.

. We will gladly accept personal photos of the English DD-696 in just about any format, but gif or jpg are preferred as an attachment. Photos can be scanned at most commercial mail or copier stores.

What we would like to do here is create a section dedicated to the ship herself and another for the crew. A picture of you then and one of you now to go along with a brief discription of what has been going on since you last served on the Walker. .
