USS Blue
DD-387
(Bagley Class)
Launched: May 27, 1937
Commissioned: August 14, 1937
Fate: Torpedoed by Japanese at Guadalcanal and was scuttled on August 23, 1942 after attempts to tow her failed.   She rests with 49 other Allied and Japanese ships at the bottom of Ironbottom Sound.

Chaz and a crew were cleaning out an abandoned
office space in Charlotte, NC, when someone found
this picture and Chaz "adopted" it.  He went on-line to
learn about the Blue, and found Destroyers OnLine.

Length: 341 feet, 4 inches
Beam: 35 feet, 6 inches
Draught: 12 feet, 10 inches
Performance: 49,000 shp for 38.5 knots
Bunkerage: 504 tons
Range: 6,500 nautical miles at 12 knots
Guns: four 5 inch; four .5 inch MG
Torpedoes: sixteen 21 inch
