For all past crew members and officers of Richard S. Edwards - DD950 "Ready Eddie". Ahoy shipmate! Do memories of being a snipe ever drift into your thoughts? Do you ever find yourself reminiscing about the good ol' Navy days? Do you ever talk about your fun times with uninterested or bored spouses, kids, friends, or neighbors? Well, here's your chance to talk to those of us who are interested --- other EX-SNIPES!! We are planning a reunion of the Engineering Dept. ('60-'66) from the USS Richard S. Edwards DD950! Tentative date is set for the last weekend of May, 1998. (Yes--spouses are invited). Also, all other past crew members, officers and their spouses are welcome. I hope all of you ex-snipes are interested. For those of you who are apprehensive or hesitant: DON'T WORRY! We have all grayed and gained! HA! In May 1996, seven of us and our spouses had a small reunion in Branson, Missouri. Those in attendance were Kress, Sanders, Gerding, Gilbert, Manning, Hart and Lollman. We all agreed that it was one of the best times we have experienced! My contact list was small, but since then it has grown and I have been able to locate more of us. However, I need your help in locating even more ex-snipes and past crew members. If interested in the reunion, please contact me by mail or phone. I'm eager to hear from all of you!
