I am having trouble with Netscape. Please email me so I can
tell you about my father who served on the
Wedderburn during 1944-45.
He was on board when it entered Tokyo Bay. Thank you. Amy

Hello,
How nice to hear from you so quickly.
I think that actually the problem is with my WP 6.0 program. It suffered some
sort of nervous breakdown when my husband tried to use a very old printer
with it. Ever since then we have had difficulty in relationship to the type
fonts. I have uninstalled it twice and reinstalled it but we do not have all
the fonts that we use to. So, when I was in Netscape looking at your site
and I attempted to email you, the page/area that pops up with the spaces for
me to type into appears, but I can not read most of the type face on it. I
had to try typing in each white area before I realized that the bottom one
was the right one. The type face on the far left/stage right is all cryptic
looking. I think I need to go and change fonts in Netscape, but I didn't
think I could do that while online.
So, anyway....the reason that I wrote to you is that my father, Harold A.
Bennett was a Quartermaster 2/Class on the Wedderburn during 1944 and '45.
He says to tell you that he was/is a ' Plankowner '. He also kept the log
during that time. He was the first American on Japanese soil after they
entered Tokyo Bay. He has attended the last two reunions; St. Louis and
Seattle.
He has several pages that he has written to help document the Wedderburn's
actions during that time period. If I have him send them to me, would you
like me to type them up and forward them to you ?
Do you attend the reunions ? He told me that he thinks the next one is in
Boston. Do you know if that is true ?
Thank you very much,
