Richard- good start on a great web site. Ive been looking for other
McKean sailors for sometime now.
My name is George Oblisk and I was on the
McKean
from sept 69- june 73.
I reported to the McKean right out of boot camp as an SA and left the
McKean in 73 as an IC2. I made 2 westpac cruises. In 73 I transferred to
the USS BRINKLEY BASS which was in Tacoma as a reserve training ship. The
Bass has a great association and held its last reunion in Seattle this
last summer.
I'm not sure if this is the right way to input information on this form
but I thought I'd give it a try..

Thankyou for the input and yes this is the correct way. It just seems
too easy is all so if you want to write up any of your McKean days then
just do it the same way. Whatever you write will be put in your
contributors page which you can get to either by clicking on your name in
the McKean's Crew pages or by going to the contributors section from the
first DOL page. If you have any photos that you want to scan then just
attach them to email.
