Richard, I served aboard the U.S.S. Steinaker from October, 1956 to September, 1959. If you are interested, I have a Med Cruise book from that period . Along with photos, it includes information regarding the ship. If you can use it, I will be happy to send it to you with the only stipulation being you return it upon completion of your task. Just a few tidbits- The U.S.S. Steinaker was ordered to Suez in 1956 ( 3 day after I reported aboard) , to Lebanon in 1958. James W. Bordewick SOG2 Hello James, Thankyou for the tips and the offer.
