I wrote and illustrated three books on DD/DE types for the U.S. Naval Institute/Conway Maritime Press LTD "Anatomy of the Ship" series. They are: o The Destroyer The Sullivans o The Destroyer Escort England o The Destroyer Campbeltown I didn't notice Bob Sumrall's book on you list: Sumrall, Robert F. Sumner-Gearing Class Destroyers. Annapolis: U.S. Naval Institute Press. 1995. Among other things, I build ship models professionally. A couple of years back, I built a 1/96 scale model of the USS REID (DD 369) for a group of her survivors. They donated it to the Navy Museum at the Washington Navy Yard.
