Tennessee Connector

Connect to Dixie Highway West at Knoxville, TN and head west along US 70 to Rockwood, TN
Bear left on US 27 and continue south to Jenkins Waldo Lane, southwest of the Roane / Rhea county line
Turn right and head northwesterly to Old Dixie Highway
Turn left follow Old Dixie Hwy till it rejoins with US 27 near Saint Clair, TN
Continue southwesterly on US 27 / Business US 27 to Dayton, TN
Turn right on Old Graysville Rd and head to Graysville, TN

Turn left on to US 192 and head east to Melbourne, FL
Old Melbourne Hwy was Dixie Hwy, but currently dead ends at a locked gate next to Lake X Airstrip. North of Holopaw there is a section of Old Dixie Hwy locally known as "Old Brick Rd" which is 1.6 miles long but no longer connects anything. It can be reached by heading north for 3 miles on Backtrack Bay Rd from Holopaw (past a gate which may or may not be open), then east on the rough old bricks. The old to the west from here to Lake X Airstrip is behind a locked gate. Past the end of the bricks, the road's former path is apparent on satellite photos but looks like a grass trail on the ground. The former roadway is now mostly in priavte hands and used as pasture. I do not recommend trying to follow it, from US 192 the land has No Tresspassing signs posted.

Connect to US 17 / 92 (Dixie Highway West) at Haines City, FL
Head south along Florida 17 to Frostproof
Bear left on to US 27 / 98 to Avon Park
Turn left onto Florida 17 and head to Sebring
Turn left on to Kenlworth Blvd
Turn left on to US 98 and head southeasterly to Okeechobee, FL
Connect to US 98 / South Florida Connector in Okeechobee, FL

South Florida Connector

This was the mainline Dixie Highway until the Tamiami Trail route through Naples opened.

Connect to US 17 (Dixie Highway West) at Arcadia, FL
Head southeast on Oak St
Continue east along Florida 70 to Okeechobee, FL
Scenic Highlands Highway connects at Okeechobee, FL
Continue into Okeechobee on Center Street
Bear right on to Florida 710 and head southeasterly to Riviera Beach, FL
Connect to US 1 / Dixie Highway (East) in Riviera Beach
Route from Okeechobee to DH (East) not well charted, may have ended where Florida 706 intersects Florida 811 in Jupiter, FL.
