These pages will cover the former New York Central line from northern New Jersey to Selkirk, NY.  This was once commonly known as the West Shore since it runs along the Hudson River's west bank for many miles.  Today it is the River Line under CSX.  Although the New York Central operated passenger service on this route many years ago, it has primarily been the main freight route into the northern New Jersey area.
