This page will cover from Toronto west to Bayview Junction and then around Lake Ontario to Fort Erie.
Burlington or Burlington West on the CN is where the freight line from MacMillan yard rejoins the main. Big M630 2335 rolls west off the freight line at the Burlington West station.
It's early morning at Bayview Jct. An eastbound with a GP40W comes off the Dundas Sub-division headed to Toronto.
Like any other commuter train territory, the parade begins at sunrise. Here are two GO Transit trains from Hamilton enroute to downtown Toronto. July 28, 1983.
A pair of RDC's cover train # 72 from Sarnia. Train 636 from Niagara Falls comes up on the other track.
Train # 71 enroute to Windsor swings around the junction heading west.
With the passenger trains out of the way, freight # 251 heads to Hamilton behind three GP9's.
A short time later, an eastbound out of Hamilton heads to Toronto.
GO Transit GP40 502 pushes train 971 to Hamilton in the early afternoon.
A worn looking SD40 5078 and a M630 rolls east. Many freights remain on the normal westbound track to use the freight line to MacMillan Yard which splits off the main at Burlington.
While the freight rolls through the junction, 502 returns east with train 974.
Coming into the junction off the Dundas Sub, GP40W 9594 leads an eastbound.
GP40P 710 heads 963 to Hamilton.
LRC 6904 leads train # 76 with the 'Tempo' cars.
Two LRC's lead a train of conventional cars west through the junction with train # 77.
Train 641 to Niagara Fallswith a 4 car RDC set. The last car a cabless trailer.
MLW FP4A 6789 westbound with train 75.
Three big M630's with 2319 leading power an eastbound into the junction.
Four MLW M630's and a GP9 work westward. A high and wide load with two cabooses up front.
A M630, M636 and an F7A work train 431 enroute to Fort Erie. October 8, 1987.
Dundas, Ontario. VIA F40 6410 with train # 71. Dundas is just west of Bayview Junction.
A very impressive station at Hamilton, Ont. Hamilton lies on the very west end of Lake Erie. The CN lines to Niagara Falls and Fort Erie pass through here. The building remains, but is now used for other purposes.
Grimsby, Ontario. This station was moved a short distance off line and is a local antique dealer. October 1987.

Fort Erie, Ont. lies across the border from Buffalo, NY. The CN had a yard
here for interchange traffic
across the border. It has been closed and abandoned.
