Every year the New York Regional Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences present the New York Emmy Awards. The awards recognize excellence in televison news, sports, public affairs and individual achievement from around the New York City/Northern New Jersey Metropolitan area.

All entries are judged by peers in other television markets.
