Orlando

This is a double trumpet. I don't know why a double trumpet was used; this is usually used on a ticket toll road. See my page about this interchange for more details, including my plan to redo it.
Clarke Rd
Orlando

This is a combination of 2 Y's. It was not finished yet when this photo was taken but you can see the ramps. Clarke Rd now goes north from the end of 408 at 50 (408 ends at 50, not at FLTP!). Both Y's were originally going to be 3Y's. The one at 408 and the FLTP-408 connector was going to be the beginning of the northern section of the Western Beltway (TOLL 429). However, Clarke Rd, a 4LD controlled access non-freeway was built in its place and 429 is currently under construction further west. The one at FLTP and the FLTP-408 connector may still be proposed to be full, but when 429 was going to start here it made a lot more sense. Access from FLTP to/from 50 is provided further west at a double trumpet.
Orlando

This is basically a cloverleaf with W-N and E-S directional ramps, but there is a SPUI on the connector road (TOLL 4080) at Valencia College Ln. Note 4080 is a left exit and entrance off 408 and 417. This was done because 4080 is the old route of 408. Then 408 ended just north of here at 50.
Universal Blvd  International Dr
Orlando

This is kind of weird. The white ramps have been added since Universal did its road expansion in mid-1998. The EB ramps on I-4 at the new bridge (Universal Blvd, ex-Republic Dr) were there before then but did not cross over I-4, and the 435 SB to I-4 WB ramp was there but merged into I-4 right away. The ramp from I-4 EB directly to 435 SB has not been there since the I-4 EB ramps at Republic Dr were built. The stuff in the NW corner is my high school, Dr Phillips HS. The P is Universal's parking garage. The white ramp leaving at the SW corner is for FL 482 (Sand Lake Rd). You can no longer go from 435 SB to 482 via I-4 WB. Now you must connect directly between the two or go thru Universal. There has never been access from 435 NB to I-4 WB. You must use 482. The trumpet in the NE corner is part of the I-4/FLTP double trumpet.
Orlando

This is kind of weird. It is just south of the previous one. 435 ends here; south of 482 is Martin Lockheed, which built the interchange in 1958 (then it was just the Martin Co). Neither of these roads is a freeway, but there is a freeway-to-freeway interchange. 435 is proposed to extend south at least to 528. The interchange just to the left is I-4/482.
Orlando

This was originally a double trumpet between FLTP and US 17/92/441, but then TOLL 528 was added in 1973 and all hell broke loose. The interchange in the SW corner is at 423 (John Young Pkwy).
Ashley St  Orange St
Tampa

The I-4/I-275 interchange is a 3Y, with a C/D road connecting to the Orange St interchange. I-4 and FL 400 used to continue west on I-275 to St Pete, and I-75 went down I-275 and ended at I-4. When I-75 was extended to Miami, at first it had an E/W split, and then when these splits were killed, I-275 was created, and FL 93 remained on it while I-75E got FL 93A. Even then, FL 400 still continued to St Pete with I-275 for a while until the whole I-75/I-275 thing including the Sunshine Skyway was finished. The freeway in the SE corner is TOLL 618 (Crosstown Expwy). I-275/Ashley St is a trumpet, and Ashley St is a short freeway with a left exit to US 41B SB (Tampa St). I-275/Orange St is a Y with a left AND right entrance onto I-275 NB. This may be the start of a proposed connector to TOLL 618.
Tampa

60 comes in on the west on the Courtney Campbell Causeway, and then multiplexes with 589 SB. It then leaves 589 at the Tampa Int'l Airport, where 589 goes east on Spruce St. It then crosses I-275 and heads east on Kennedy Blvd to downtown. 589 north of here is a toll road and is being extended to US 98 (very far!) currently. To go from 60 WB to I-275 NB or vice versa you must use an exit further east. I don't know how the I-275 exit is signed (ie if it says FL 589 or not).
Jacksonville

115 goes from the north to the east. 228 runs along the south. 139 comes in from the west and ends. 115A is the connector from 115 to 228. US 1A goes from north to SE along 115, 115A, and 228. 139 and 228 dump onto city streets in downtown Jacksonville to the west. US 90A used to go from west to east along 139 and 115, but now uses 10, which is further south. The 139/115 interchange is full, with a few connections to local streets. The 2 ends of 115A are Y's.
Jacksonville

This is a huge mess of left ramps, but it is full at I-95/US 23 and I-95/US 90 to/from the west.
Jacksonville

13 goes over the Acosta Bridge (the NW-SE one) unsigned and ends at US 17 on the north at a funky 3Y. On I-95 NB, US 1 and US 90 multiplex with it, but they stay on a C/D road SB. 228 parallels the St Johns on city streets downtown, and then starts up as a freeway to the east. The north end of the Main St Bridge (US 1/90) is a weird interchange with 228. The bridge on the west is the Fuller Warren Bridge, which was a drawbridge but is currently being replaced with a fixed span.
Ft Lauderdale

This is very funky. There used to be a toll booth on the ramps to/from FLTP. The first configuration of this had 84 goind on the current routing and a spur coming off 84 at US 441 west to FLTP. AFAICT there was a diamond with that spur and US 441. You exited at US 441 to stay on 84 WB.

This is the infamous Golden Glades interchange. The ramps to 9 in the SW corner are HOV ramps to I-95 to/from the south. HOV flyover lanes for I-95 were under construction when this photo was taken and are now open. This was the original end of FLTP and is still the end of TOLL 91. The original configuration had only one railroad crossing where FLTP crosses now. I-95 had not been buitl yet to the south (I think 9 was the original proposed alignment, especially because I-95 is 9 north of here (it is 9A to the south) and 9 is freeway for over a mile to the south (except for the recently built I-95 HOV connector)). 826 to/from the west curved into US 441 to/from the north and intersected FLTP at a traffic light. On the other side of the RR tracks was a weird cloverleaf between FLTP/826/US 441 and 9(I-95). The ramps to/from 9(I-95) NB went to a road connecting US 441 to/from the south and 826 to/from the east and then indirectly connected to FLTP.
Miami

This is the main entrance to the Miami Intl Airport. The ramps paralleling 953 to the west were built recently. NB is west of SB (!) so you go on the wrong side, and there is a ghost ramp joining into the NB ramp. This made an all-freeway connection to I-95 from the airport.
Miami

970 is the short freeway connecting I-95 to downtown. The interchange is really a 3Y but has many C/D roads on both I-95 and 970. 970 connects to US 1/41 at the eastern end.
