This is the Cuban Campaign Volunteer Medal. This medal was given
to Spanish and Cuban volunteers who participated in the Cuban campaigns
of 1895-98. The inscription reads: "A Los Leales Voluntarios de Cuba" or
"To the loyal volunteers of Cuba."
