VIZCAYA - the bow damage
This broadside view of the VIZACAYA
shows the extensive damage to her. Notably, this view shows the tremendous
damage to the bow which finally put her out of action. Apparently, a shell
(probably from BROOKLYN) coincidentally hit
a torpedo in the VIZCAYA's bow torpedo tube.
The resulting tremendous explosion blew out the VIZCAYA's bow, ending her
career.
