A list of Spanish American War Veterans buried in
Pennsylvania

Contributed by Christina, Irmgard, Jack, Justin, Patrick and Shawn McSherry
McSherry Family can click here for its list of cemeteries checked

Pennsylvania was one of the largest contributors of manpower during the Spanish American War with nearly 17,000 Pennsylvanians serving in the Pennsylvania Volunteers, and countless more in the Federal army and navy. This list is simply a partial list of veterans buried in Pennsylvania. Many, but certainly not all, served in units from Pennsylvania. In your travels, if you find a grave of a Spanish American War veteran in Pennsylvania, please forward to us the inscription on the stone along with the name and location of the Cemetery. Send the information to us by clicking here!
Note: an asterisk (*) after the entry indicates that a marker indicates that the man served in the Spanish American War, however his name does not appear in the records. This means that either the marker is in error (Spanish American War vets' flagholders have a tendency to migrate over the years), that the individual served in a military unit from another state or that the man actually served in the Philippine-American War, which the government lumped together with the Spanish American War, though it was, in fact, a separate conflict.
