The hulk of the ANTONIO LOPEZ
This image is of the burned out hulk of the ANTONIO LOPEZ,
which had attempted to run the blockade surrounding Puerto Rico, ran aground
and was subsequently set ablaze by incendiary shells from the U.S. Cruiser
NEW ORLEANS. The Spanish had time, however, to completely unload her before
she was set afire.
Here, she is completely burned out, with her bulkheads beginning to
collapse inwards from a lack of support.
