The Ode

From Laurence Binyon's 'For The Fallen'

They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

Note:

Several versions of this verse exist and are in regular use within New Zealand. The most common use "They shall grow not old" instead of "They shall not grow old". Regardless of the poet's intentions, both these versions are important to us and the use of either does not change the theme.
