The Association Lapel Badge | |
|
The Old Comrades' lapel badge is based on the cap badge of the RNZA with 'UBIQUE' being replaced by 'NZ' and 'Royal N.Z. Artillery' being replaced by 'OLD COMRADES ASSN'. The original was designed in 1940 by members of the Wellington branch of the Association and has varied a little in design since. When all the original badges had been issued, a larger badge was constructed with 'N.Z.' reverting to 'UBIQUE' with the lettering in gold on a blue background. The badge of the late 20th century and early 21st century is smaller than the pin, with the lower lettering in gold on a blue background, the upper lettering in gold on a red background, and red inside the crown. There is a slight change in the lettering and small changes in the background and trails. The badge is worn as a tie pin or on the right lapel below the RSA badge. Members can purchase badges from the Association Secretary (Email: [email protected]) for $4.
